May 2025 Round Uo

From No Mow to Just Enough Rain

As May draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what’s been growing (and selling!) here at the farm — and it’s been a month full of nearlys, beginnings, and promising growth.

No Mow May: A Patch of Possibility

We fully embraced No Mow May this year, and it's left us with a wonderful legacy: a lush patch of long grasses, now earmarked for our meadow grass buckets. Leaving nature to do its thing has not only supported local wildlife, but also given us a head start on a beautiful new product offering.

No Rain May? Almost!

It was almost No Rain May too, with the skies stubbornly clear until a much-needed downpour finally arrived on 24th May. The rain was late, but perfectly timed — just when our plants needed it most.

Silver Birch Success

We’re delighted to report that our silver birch foliage is proving very popular. The investment in extra trees is already paid off, and it’s encouraging to see demand growing for our sustainable British foliage.

Roses on the Rise

Our rose are just starting to burst into bloom — right on cue for June’s wedding season and we can’t wait to start drying the imperfect petals for our revived petal confetti line.

Dahlias on Deck

Finally, it's nearly time to plant out the dahlias. These summer favourites will be at the heart of our Pick Your Own sessions later in the season, and we’re busy preparing the ground for their moment in the sun.

Thanks for following along with us — we’ll be back with more updates as the season unfolds. In the meantime, here’s to growth, gratitude, and just enough rain!
